A fairly non-remarkable month was dominated once again by the battle of the two major reality shows. Coming out on top was BBC One's The Voice UK, with the 14 April episode proving to be the most-watched single edition of the month with just under 12 million viewers.

The broadcasters' network revenue results for March show lots of change once again. ITV1 was the only broadcaster to enjoy an increase on March 2011, up 1.4%.

This month saw the return of Simon Cowell to Britain's Got Talent, along with new judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon. The talent show easily topped the programmes rankings in March, with 11.5 million viewers.

The runaway success of BBC One's new medical drama series Call The Midwife is evident in February's top programme rankings. The Sunday night drama claimed poll position with a high of 11.4 million viewers.
